Villa Carmen and Corralejo

Villa Carmen is perfectly situated for everything in Corralejo. It is set in a quiet, private community, less than a minutes walk from the beach, near the El Campanario centre with its large international supermarket, walkable to the High street and the Harbour area and moments from a Taxi rank and bus terminus. It is also walkable to the water park and the weekly town market. The Villa is in the area known as “Millionaires Row”, the most sought after area on the island.

If you know Fuerteventura you will already know that Corralejo is the main resort and the second largest town, the largest being the industrial port of Porto Del Rosario which is some 35 minutes drive or bus ride away. unlike Caleta del Fuste which is an area built specifically to cater for the UK tourist industry, or Jandia/ costa calma/ which consists only of large all inclusive modern hotels for the German tourist market, Corralejo is  also a working town which houses the local community.

Corralejo is a town on the Sea. Traditionally a fishing village, it’s Harbour area provides most of the more traditional restaurants, with outdoor eating on the sea front. The Harbour also hosts Plaza Felix Estevez, a square comprised of restaurants and bars, again providing outdoor and indoor eating and drinking, with entertainment provided nightly in the form of licensed quality busking bands, singers , performers and dancers. Prices in these restaurants vary to suit each budget and occasion and there is too much choice to fill just one holiday.
.
The  pedestrianised High street leads away from the Harbour area and provides a host of clothes and souvenir shops. The High street also provides a number of cafes, ice cream parlours, bars and many European and UK chain type restaurants, mainly with an indoor dining option. Examples such as La Tasca, Aberdeen Steakhouse and Steamboat Chinese can be found mingling with family owned Indian, Tapas, Burger and Italian restaurants together with Themed and local bars and eateries.

Although the High Street area does boast the odd smallish Nightclub, Corralejo is a relatively quiet town and if you are looking for all night House Music foam parties this is not the island for you. That is not to say it is too quiet, many of the bars have live music and are open until early morning, but the way of life in Fuerteventura is laid back and friendly.
.
From the Villa, the High Street is around a 15-20 minute walk along the beach or 20-25 minutes if you walk the street route. 5 more minutes walk takes you to the Harbour area.

The Beach itself is less than 500 Metres away and the beaches stretch from there for many miles. The Beach you arrive at is Rocky Point beach which offers the Sunset Lounge beach bar, where sunbeds, surfboards and sups are for hire and drinks, ice-creams and lunches are sold. Turn left and you head towards town via number of beach bars and cafes; turn right and you head for  Flag Beach.
